In depth

Verdict

Everaard has a penalty and a step up in class to contend with having scored at Carlisle last time. In contrast, GREEN FLAG is dropping down a grade after finding the competition too hot behind Shutthefrontdoor last month. He had landed a double before that, including a 10-length defeat of a subsequent winner over these hurdles, so Lucinda Russell's charge gets the nod. Course and distance winner Malin Bay should get involved back on better ground today and Trucking Along has claims if fully recovered from a tumble at Wetherby in December. Seven Is Lucky is upped in class on the back of a course win but, along with Lord Redsgirth, Sun Cloud and Talkin Sence is another to consider.
