In depth

Verdict

Three times a winner over hurdles, BALLYBRIGGAN stands out in this. He would have finished closer than third if not for racing so keenly at Carlisle on only his second start over fences and can open his account over the larger obstacles now. Alta Rock should figure on his chasing bow, though the selection was rated higher over hurdles, while Twentypoundluck ran well for a long way on his first start over fences at Musselburgh. Irish import Carrigdhoun has a second at Limerick to his credit and is preferred to chasing debutant Castlelawn of the others.
