    Verdict

HAVANA GREY, from the first crop of the very speedy Havana Gold and out of a 5f winner, started a short-priced favourite at Nottingham but couldn't quite hold Simmy's Copshop - the remainder were well beaten and compensation awaits. The filly Che Bella, an expensive daughter of Holy Roman Emperor, hails from a yard in form and looked in need of the run on her debut at Ripon, fading after showing very good speed. Collingham Park never got into the action at Pontefract but was staying on nicely at the finish and will have come on markedly for the experience. Go Now Go Now is related to a couple of winners and Mark Johnston is still firing them in so he's a newcomer to watch.
