Verdict

Go Jamesway and Straits Of Malacca, both representing leading yards, should benefit from promising debuts whilst Captain Midnight is a contender on the level achieved on his first two starts. Something appeared amiss when eased right down at Ripon last month and, having been given a month off, it would not surprise to see him return to that previous level now. The betting should prove instructive with regard to the aforementioned trio. Beltor looks more of a nursery type but Captain Gee is a newcomer worthy of note for the Quinn team, though a tentative vote is awarded to Mark Johnston's newcomer, IBECKE. The Exceed And Excel filly cost 60,000gns as a yearling and would not have to be overly special to make a winning debut for a yard that has started the month is good fashion.
