Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

TECTONIC has improved quite considerably in the past five weeks, including gaining a first career success at Hamilton on his penultimate start. He ran a fine race at Carlisle on Saturday evening when runner-up to True Pleasure and should remain very competitive here providing his busy schedule does not catch up with him. Call of Duty and Outlaw Torn were third and fourth on Saturday night and the selection is taken to confirm the form, although it should be noted that the race wasn't really run to suit Outlaw Torn and he's the one who could cause most problems now. His last four successes have all arrived at Wolverhampton but he's undoubtedly at home on the prevailing quick ground too. Cross The Boss doesn't win too often but has claims on his latest effort when a decent third to Dhhamaan at Thirsk over a furlong shorter.
