Verdict

Nobody would begrudge Silva Eclipse a first victory of the campaign as he’s been hitting the crossbar at Haydock but he’s still climbing the weights and this looks very competitive. Eternally Yours is a real mudlark but remains unexposed and goes on the short-list. BETTER GETALONG also likes soft ground and he has his sights lowered after runs behind Ballymoy at Haydock and Ascot. He is 3-3 around here so gets the nod, though Buster Valentine acquitted himself well in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham after winning at Newcastle and Too Many Chiefs bids for a fourth course victory. Crixus's Escape also arrives in good form but Uppertown Prince may struggle under a big weight.
