Verdict

Marown, an €80,000 son of Milan, could be a useful newcomer but Craig Nichol prefers SKIDDAW TARA, who can cap a memorable afternoon for followers of the Nicky Richards stable. He comes from a successful family of jumpers and won’t need to be a world-beater to make a winning debut. James Ewart’s Irish import The Blame Game also goes on the short-list while Ebony Jewel made the useful Mr Grey Sky pull out all the stops at Haydock in December when trained by Ron O’Leary. Milvale found only one too good here in January and had previous winner Corrieben Reiver behind that day.
