Verdict
In an interesting handicap, Ignition gets the call ahead of mainly Commitment Lecture and Scotland The Brave. Given that she is now racing from a mark that is one pound below her most-recent win, which came over course and distance, and that she has the cheekpieces she wore that day back on then you can clearly build a case for Ignition. Hawkit holds possibilities based on his Chester run from just a pound lower mark last time, as does Fair Shake now that the handicapper has consented to give him a chance again. Much as Commitment Lecture might welcome some rain, she can be effective on quick going and is now just a pound above a winning mark, while Scotland The Brave's mark also looks fair now and she should strip fitter for her seasonal return. Finally, Primo Way comes here out of form, Jaad could go well if getting an easy lead, Major Magpie has been beaten three times now from his revised mark, and much as Bolton Hall has dropped a lot in the weights, he is another that comes here out of form. All of which returns us to the selection, which is Ignition.
