Verdict

ULZANA'S RAID is definitely one to follow judged on his victory over 2m5f at Warwick. Always going well that day, he'd earlier finished third to Champagne West on the same course in a race that's produced a host of subsequent winners including Albert Bartlett runner-up Deputy Dan - the additional yardage shouldn't be a problem. Portway Flyer has made giant strides this season but is upped another 4lb after finishing second at Kempton on his latest start. Progressive Wincanton scorer Vicente has been raised 8lb but can't be discounted and makes more appeal than Waldorf Salad, who couldn't cope with his new mark at Sandown. Kilbree Chief's future probably lies over fences while Straidnahanna and Quickasyoucan will find easier opportunities to break their duck.
