In depth

Verdict

Keith Reveley has done well since taking over the reigns from his mother and Cake It Easy can give him another success here, from Shredded and First Centurion. Keith struck with a hundred to one chance on Sunday and with some strong southern stables involved here we should get a decent price about the selection. This gelding didn't take well to hurdling during the summer but was most impressive when winning on heavy ground at Haydock on the flat last season. If his confidence hasn't been too badly dented he could go well at big odds. The John Gosden trained Shredded has struggled in decent handicaps since winning a small race at Sandown, but is steadily coming down the weights and will be a danger to all. Meanwhile First Centurion has looked in need of a test of stamina and could go well for John Hills and Simon Whitworth. Circassian and Winged D' Argent are from top yards and deserve respect, but Cake It Easy, with the stable in form, is a sporting selection.
