In depth

Verdict

Good Boy Alfie steps up a grade from 5lb higher after scoring over slightly shorter on his handicap debut but he's well bred and almost certainly capable of better. Stonific completed a double at a slightly lower level in the spring and came close to winning again over this trip at Doncaster last month. NOT SO SLEEPY (NAP) doesn't have the most positive of form figures but he's always performed at a higher level than this. His latest run in a Class 2 handicap at Goodwood from this mark showed that he was ready to regain the winning thread as he was unlucky in-running. Glasses Up has had five runs - all on this track - and has won three of them. He looked on the upgrade last time and though 5lb higher is capable of going well off higher marks. Royal Regent dropped into Class 5 company and made all over the track and trip on Saturday for which he earns a 6lb penalty.
