Verdict
Deadly Secret has plummeted in the weights and would now look interesting if backed but Jim Goldie could have the key with three declared runners and the pin comes down on STELLITE. Beaten in this race 12 months ago by the reopposing Botham, the veteran is now 2lbs worse off than that day, but he is very much more a specialist at this trip, acts on any ground, and is also well handicapped himself. Botham is clearly feared, though he has looked out of sorts lately, while the other Goldie runner Mr Lu does not look so well handicapped today. Commando Scott is hard to get right but this is his optimum trip, he likes it here and is far from ruled out. Legal Legacy beat him here earlier in the season and has to be respected despite another 5lb rise for a good Doncaster run. George Benjamin would be one to note if supported but Stellite is suggested.
