Verdict
A small field could be reduced further as Sister Midnight was engaged in the 3.30 here yesterday. Elysian Flame is probably having a pipe-opener ahead of resuming his jumping career but Beechwood Jude looked as good as ever when scoring at Catterick last month and Fun Mac is a dour stayer who won over a similar trip at Pontefract last year. MONDAIN has run well every time he’s been tried over 2m or further. He was no match for Believe In Love over 1m6f at Newmarket last time but that winner finished a close third in a Group 2 at Doncaster next time so the form is standing up. Sassie has been below par so far this season but did finish third in this 12 months ago off a similar mark.
