Verdict
Phillip Makin was the winning jockey in this contest last year and he may well win this renewal on board CHEYENNE RED with Tadalavil likely to pose a threat and Geojimali offered as an each-way alternative. Although the selection has lost to Tadalavil earlier on this year, he has come on after that seasonal bow improving in each of his runs so far. With potentially a better run today and having kept on well last time to get second, he may be able to go one position better in this race. Tadalavil is a very real danger although he hasn't performed quite as well as expected since winning that Hamilton effort. He is weighted favourably today and should run a big race. Geojimali is a previous course and distance winner albeit a long time ago, but he has place claims if finding assistance from a first-time visor. We take a tentative chance with Cheyenne Red that he has improved and can hold off the attentions of Tadalavil.
