Verdict
An awful race to end the day but a betting proposition could be the David Nicholls-trained Desaru who although not reaching the level of form he showed last season still looks to have the best form in the field. He has gone well for an inexperienced jockey in the past and is the TEAMtalk selection. Devolution is of interest stepping up in trip - the main worry could be the ground. Party Ploy is respected in this company but is on a long losing run and sometimes flatters to deceive. Bold Amusement won this race last year and with the same jockey aboard and four pounds lower in the ratings is one to watch out for. The trainer with the best recent form in the race is Brian Ellison who saddles Edifice. He has run well on occasions this season but may have preferred faster ground.
