Verdict
Ersaal is the best bred of these newcomers and is likely to go off a short priced favourite. He is a half brother to French 1000 Guineas winner Ta Rib, also trained by Ed Dunlop. Interestingly it took Ta Rib three runs to break his maiden tag so the TEAMtalk preference goes to Michael Bell's Ciel who is a well-bred filly and comes from a yard who has an excellent record at this track. Southern Lad, although well-bred, was most disappointing on his debut and best watched on this occasion. Any market moves for Golano might be worth noting.
