In depth
Verdict
A tight nursery with preference from TEAMtalk given to the Mick Channon-trained Tusk who seemed to relish the step up in trip at Doncaster last week when finishing behind Mysterinch though he 'won' the race on the stands side. Suited by a fast surface his major obstacle here will be his low draw. Delham is an improving type who could run into a place at a decent price. He has run well at Chepstow, Newmarket and Warwick. Westlander will be among the fancied runners and looks the type who will appreciate this step up in trip. Desert Loch had some good form earlier in the season and has been crying out for this mile trip. Lieutenant Dunbar showed promise last time out at Lingfield, he will need to improve to play a role here but his trainer has a good record at this track.
