In depth

Verdict

With the Mark Johnston team in such excellent form, Chester Le Street is fancied to come on for his debut performance and land this at the expense of Ace Coming and newcomer Tyzack. Ace Coming has been placed second in two of his starts to date, the most recent in claiming company at Newcastle, and seems a consistent sort who is sure to run his race here. Tyzack is only moderately-bred, but James Given's stable has produced one or two decent two-year-olds already this season so the market may prove a reliable guide to this one's chance. However, they will both have to go a bit to get the better of Chester Le Street, a $185,000 yearling who was well fancied on his debut at Ripon but had no answer to the smart Sabeeh, eventually tiring in the soft ground to finish a well-beaten fourth. With that run under his belt, Chester Le Street seems sure to improve here and this better ground should suit.
