Verdict
Leonid Glow has been running well all season, including when stepped up to seven furlongs at Carlisle last time, and he is taken to resume winning ways dropped back to six today with the Michael Dods-trained runner getting the verdict ahead of Ubenkor and Gainshare. The last mentioned has solid claims on his form as a juvenile but David Barron's gelding has been largely disappointing this term so looks best watched. Bahamian Ballad looks to be going the right way and has been given a chance by the handicapper but remains a maiden after seven starts and that is likely to be the case following this event. Richard Fahey's Irving Place has given little sign of encouragement this term but has slipped to a fair mark so has to be considered. Bryan Smart's Ubenkor is less exposed than his rivals and could be of interest on his handicap debut but Leonid Glow has solid claims and he gets the vote.
