      Verdict

      Exhort will be suited by the return to 1m2f but has a bit to find with a couple of these on today’s terms. Vivianite finished a decent third in Listed company over a mile at Goodwood last time but attempts this longer trip for the first time and had earlier finished well behind fourth-placed SHENANIGANS (NAP) in another Listed contest at Kempton. The latter will be sharper for that reappearance run behind higher rated horses than these and Roger Varian sent out the winner of this in 2017. Plait has plenty to prove at this level as does novice winner Skill Set while the Irish raider Coeur D'Amour missed the whole of last year and was well beaten on her reappearance.
