Verdict

Shanghai Grace has been in good form on the all-weather but is 6lb higher than when scoring at Lingfield in March. Howzer Black won a lower grade contest at Carlisle last time but still looks best of Keith Dalgleish’s three runners while both Irreverent and Regular came up short on their respective handicap debuts, though the latter faced a tougher task at Newmarket and may well figure in this. FASTMAN is creeping closer in handicaps and, after finishing third at York last month behind a subsequent Listed winner, David O’Meara’s colt may prove good enough.
