    Verdict

The standard is clearly set by Valeureux who has impressed in his three starts this season. He was unlucky on his first run of the campaign when clear at the last at Market Rasen when coming to grief. On his two starts since he has finished third behind some useful types and comes here in good form. The race doesn't have the strongest feel about it so despite carrying a penalty Spree Vision has to be considered on his form to date. Fundamental showed little on the Flat but looks a different horse over hurdles and can certainly make his presence felt in a poor race. Autumn Fantasy has shown a modicum of ability over hurdles but interestingly holds an entry in the Triumph Hurdle so it would be no surprise to see some improvement here. Another big danger who is worth noting in the market is Touch Closer who has disappointed over hurdles so far but was third in last season's Aintree bumper and if he is able to translate that form over obstacles, he should be finding the winner's enclosure soon.
