In depth

Verdict

Eagle Court could be anything having returned a 33/1 winner at Pontefract. Danny Tudhope prefers him to the tried and tested Star Shield, who gets no help from the handicapper. Global Spirit has to go on the shortlist as he has placed off this mark at Ripon and York since scoring at Haydock. DUBAI ACCLAIM was a fairly comfortable winner over course and distance last month. He’s been raised 6lb but should get the strong pace he needs in this and can follow up. Ulshaw Bridge is thrown in on his best form but is starting to run out of excuses.
