Verdict

The Wee Barra ran well on her comeback at Beverley but remains 6lb higher than when completing a double with a win at Ripon in August. Haymarket scored over track and trip off a similar mark in the same month and could be thereabouts while Testa Rossa narrowly beat Remember Rocky in soft ground here last summer. Henpecked is another course and distance winner and is back on a winning mark but HYDRANT won last year’s renewal off a slightly higher mark and Richard Guest’s charge is taken to come good again.
