In depth

Verdict

This looks like a good opportunity for Voodoo Moon to break his maiden tag at the expense of Orpen Prince and Red Flare. The selection has finished second on both his starts to date and most recently when going down narrowly from Riverside Dancer at Redcar. He looked eye catching on that occasion and its only a matter of time before he lands himself in the winners enclosure. Newcomer Orpen Prince looks interesting on paper as the stable are winning with their stable cat at present. He is nicely bred and any market support should be noted. Red Flare finished nearer last than first on his debut at Bath earlier in the month but in fact he was beaten little more than five lengths by Deadshot Keen that day so there is room for improvement but for the winner we return to Voodoo Moon.
