Verdict

Mark Johnston's Glen Shiel disappointed on his reappearance and handicap debut at Hamilton earlier this month and looks best watched today in a race taken to go to MELODY IN THE MIST, who is preferred to Mutafajer. The last mentioned won well enough when landing a Lingfield maiden earlier this month and he has to be considered on his first start in a handicap but Saeed Bin Suroor has really been struggling to find winners since that success so he cannot be backed with confidence. Kevin Ryan's Breathless Kiss has been running well on the artificial surfaces since the start of the year but he did not run up to a similar level of form back on turf at Thirsk last month and looks best left out of calculations. Richard Fahey's Coin From Heaven is lightly raced but needs to improve, while Jim Goldie's Eternal Instinct probably needs some help from the handicapper. The vote then goes the way of David Barron's Melody In The Mist, who ended last season in good form with wins here and at Musselburgh in selling and claiming grade and he looks worth siding with on his return in a handicap off a mark of just 73.
