Verdict
AS BRAVE AS YOU is the tentative suggestion, Lady Lube Rye could go well whilst the likes of Poppy N'penny and Bahraj command respect. The selection showed little at big prices in qualifying for a mark but those runs came in relatively quick succession and he has been given plenty of time off. He's related to plenty of winners, should handle the ground, starts life at the bottom of the handicap and the jockey booking takes the eye. At the other end of the spectrum and the weights is Lady Lube Rye who has already had nine starts. Her only outing on soft ground resulted in a nose defeat from a 2lb higher mark and she looks capable of a making a bold bid. Quinner, Poppy N'penny, Eight Hours and Bahraj all represent respected yards and the pedigrees of the last two in particular suggest that their first encounters with soft ground will hold no fears for them. Firetrap and Agent Boo wear headgear for the first time which may improve their chances and the market may well prove to be informative, particularly in regard to our pick As Brave As You.
