    Verdict

A small field considering the fair prize money and narrow preference is for Shaweel ahead of Verinco and An Carrig. The selection, a son Dansili, made a pleasing introduction when third at York on quick ground. Whilst we may not see the best of him until he tackles a longer trip, he shaped with plenty of promise on that run and looks to posses plenty of scope and size for improvement. Verinco has also had one start, and he performed with some credit when fourth at Redcar. That was no great contest but he may step up on that effort now trying an extra furlong. Night Of Fortune is well-bred but probably one for longer trips in the future, as his trainer certainly doesn't rush his juveniles. An Carrig completes the field and should be monitored for market support from a stable going well, however it is Shaweel who gets the nod.
