Verdict

A smart handicapper on the Flat, MASTER OF FINANCE (NAP) made a promising start over hurdles when second at Hexham. He can go one better in this with Malcolm Jefferson’s yard remaining in fine form. Strait Of Magellan showed a big improvement when runner-up at Market Rasen on only his second start over timber and is preferred to the bumper winners Vertigo and Robintheaulad with the former having the more recent form of that pair. Idder and Pads were both well beaten last time but look likely improvers.
