In depth

Verdict

Winning point-to-pointer and chaser Ballycarron Lad has only run three times over hurdles but ran well over the C&D in March. He'll need a thorough test of stamina, however, and isn't certain to get it here. POLITICAL PADDY gets the vote as though he's generally been in poor form he's dropped to a fair mark and this is the lowest grade he's raced in over hurdles for a very long time. Delightfully easily won a Hexham handicap in March and is only 2lb higher and Shooting Times scored over 2m6f here in the same month and is only a pound higher. Easter Vic likes it around here and hasn't many miles on the clock for his age while a long absence is normally no problem for one of Donald McCain's so Another Miracle looks to have scope for further progress.
