Verdict

Man Of Principles showed some promise in Ireland a year ago but has been running very poorly and Fairynuff looks to have a better chance despite a big weight as he ran well for a long way on his reappearance over 3m1f at Wetherby. Gleann Na Ndochais makes his handicap debut but hasn't shown much so SYDNEY COVE is probably the one to be on. Still a relative youngster, he looked progressive when scoring at Hexham and though beaten into fifth behind Funky Monkey at Sedgefield the winner has since franked the form. Almutaham could be the main threat as he won a novices' handicap at Kelso in May and has more scope than most.
