In depth

Verdict

Nashville is lightly raced over timber but his form on the Flat this year has been poor. Always Tipsy was consistent last season and should be thereabouts if fully wound up but Island Heights may be having a pipe-opener before resuming his chaser career. DOKTOR GLAZ is still a maiden over hurdles but didn’t run badly behind Wicked Spice over course and distance in April in a better race. He’d finished a close-up third at Kelso earlier and looks to have a decent opportunity today on these terms. Pistol looked a nice prospect for Philip Hobbs a couple of years ago but is hard to catch right nowadays. Glacial Rock has been getting closer, however, and the step up to 3m should suit.
