In depth

Verdict

Blackberry Jack was hurdling last summer and had his first start since October when an excellent second at Limerick where he was staying on over that mile. Cristal Clere came up against in-form rivals at Dundalk and at Bellewstown on his Turf debut when placed behind the prolific Earl Of Tyrone. True Artist has been thereabouts and any ease in the ground would be in his favour though MS EAGLETON (NAP) finished in front of him at Listowel last time and could prove the one to beat. Runner-up at Cork last month, she occupied the same position in that Listowel maiden and will appreciate the longer trip. Manwal produced some fine performances last season but was beaten a long way on his reappearance.
