English Pale is rated 77, though that was based on a close third in very testing conditions over 1m4f at Tipperary. He ran to nowhere near that mark at Wexford next time and looks worth opposing unless the going turns heavy. THREE MAJORS had been running very well in handicaps over 7f before stepping up to this trip at Gowran and starting favourite. He was fractious at the start and ran so poorly that it can't have been his true form so he's taken to recoup losses. Ravens Hill finished in front of him that day, when he was always up with the pace, though looks better on fast ground. Dressednblack hasn't shown much in two starts and though Lady Argentum produced a couple of decent runs for Richard Fahey she's performed poorly for new connections.
