Verdict

This won't take much winning but LEAN TIMES can be no more than a tentative selection. He's very one-paced but the one thing in his favour is that he's almost guaranteed to run his race whereas most of the opposition are more hit-and-miss. Flaming Hymn was only beaten a length when third over 2m6f at Killarney earlier this month while the likes of King Malik, Noble Pageant and Prince Of Diamonds would have claims if on a going day. Pennys Tune was third at Sligo last time but steps up in distance again here.
