Verdict

This maiden may be a bit better than at first glance as Land League would almost certainly have won a Fontwell handicap in April had he not fallen two out. Royal Marskell won nine times on the Flat between 1m3f and 1m6f, though is going jumping late in life. Flashing Glance showed ability in bumpers while newcomer Dragon Du Clos cost £30,000 and is out a winning jumper in France. SAINT CONTEST was placed at Wincanton and Newbury last season. He’s been lightly campaigned on the Flat this year and can open his account over timber today.
