In depth

Verdict

Tarkesar gets the vote here to land the hat-trick with Corso Palladio and City Affair rating the main dangers. The selection has won his last two races in good style, notably when beating Mr Tee Pee last time out and although rising in the weights he again has conditions to suit and he looks the one to be on. Corso Palladio rates the main danger on his latest fourth behind Scutch Mill but he looks one paced and the suspicion is he will be seen to better effect over an even longer trip. City Affair was second behind Pardessa last time and is another with place claims but he does not like putting his head in front. Of the remainder, Grand Display looks vulnerable under top weight and for the winner we return to the progressive Tarkesar.
