Verdict
Premier King could be anything after winning a couple of novice handicaps with the proverbial ton in hand. He carries a penalty but is still receiving weight all round, though is taken on stronger and more experienced rivals today. The Clock Leary won this last year but has been out of sorts and jockey bookings suggest Lofgren will do best of Donald McCain’s runners today. Marquis Of Carabas was only beaten a short-head at Ffos Las last month but a 6lb rise looks harsh. Scoop The Pot is unexposed over fences and Fort Gabriel is running well but ABOVE BOARD has a good strike rate and found plenty to get up close home on his return to action at Uttoxeter – he may be capable of better still.
