Verdict
Middlebrow has won twice over fences but probably needs to drop a few pounds and Modeligo is also looking high enough in the weights now. Dark Invader is on a hat-trick after victories at Ffos Las and Worcester and is a leading player while My Renaissance is versatile but the recent Cartmel scorer has done all of his winning at a lower level. A case can be made for Volvalien but SALTO CHISCO came up against an improver last time at Stratford and, on his best form, Harry Whittington’s charge would have every chance in a race like this. Winner Massagot has a bit to prove at present.
