Verdict

The big question is, can Claude Greengrass follow up his Doncaster win, having salvaged what was a major unsuccessful gamble on his British debut at Catterick the time before. Tom Siddall overdid the waiting tactics then, but learnt his lesson when he lined up on Town Moor. He seems to be a lazy individual, (the horse, not the rider), and will appreciate the step up in trip. Liam Cooper takes over in the saddle, and, still nicely handicapped, the ex-Irish seven-year-old is taken to prevail at the expense of Do L'Enfant d'Eau. The Philip Hobbs inmate has been a model of consistency, but let his supporters down on his handicap debut at Taunton last time. He is sure to be strongly ridden by Richard Johnson and looks a bigger danger than Midnight Creek who is a bit high in the weights for what he has achieved thus far.
