In depth

Verdict

A disappointing finale to an otherwise competitive meeting, with Martin Pipe's Enitsag appearing something of a 'penalty kick.' The French-bred four-year-old has looked the part in both his bumpers, carrying a penalty to distinction at Exeter last time. Sure to have been well schooled, he is expected to prove a cut above this level of opposition on the way to a possible appearance at the Cheltenham Festival. The runner-up should be Arctic Playboy, who shaped well enough in a decent bumper at Newcastle and should progress steadily.
