In depth

Verdict

This appears to be a fairly straight-forward task for Lucky Nellerie to go in again, with Go For One the best of the rest if handling the major step up in trip. The selection won with his head in his chest last-time out at Kelso and a 7lb penalty may not be enough to stop him going in again. He is unexposed for an eight-year-old and with the claim of regular jockey Paddy McDonald easing the burden, this looks a penalty kick. Go For one looked to be a chaser on the up until struggling off a mark of 119 last time out. He steps up markedly in trip today so a lot must be taken on trust stamina-wise and therefore he is passed over. Finzi has no stamina worries and has slipped back to a winning mark now after going winless for over a year. He has place claims, as does Chabrimal Minster although he is on a high enough mark now so is opposed. Ultimately this looks a simple task for Ferdy Murphy's Lucky Nellerie to go in again.
