Verdict

Star of Rory looks the pick of John Groucott’s trio but is only getting a pound from Methodtothemadness, who is eased in grade. Patrick Wadge will be hoping the latter can give him a first-ever winner under Rules but Daranova is a danger on his latest second at Warwick and Mr Katanga came up against an improver last time at Chepstow having won at that track earlier. FAMILY POT usually runs his race and is now 3lb lower than his last winning mark so gets the nod.
