Verdict

Ballycross is 1-22 over fences and having a first run since May – he is not a leading light at his powerful yard. Snuff Box should be coming to hand after a couple of outings and loves the mud but conditions and a longer trip are an unknown for Potters Venture. Clondaw Promise is 2-3 over fences and was second in the other. Kevin Brogan’s claim will help in his bid to defy a new career-high mark but he is still giving 9lb to ONE FER MAMMA, who took advantage of a drop in grade at Uttoxeter to win in a canter and can cope with an 8lb rise with the going in his favour again.
