In depth

Verdict

A competitive contest gets proceedings underway and many would have a chance on their best form but the principals look to be Ross River, Hunting Yuppie and Flight Command and the confident vote goes to Ross River . The selection won well at Chepstow when defeating Red Devil Robert and then was far from disgraced behind Fundamentalist at Cheltenham he returns to the novice ranks on a fair mark and with conditions to suit he will be hard to beat. Hunting Yuppie rates the main danger he defeated Jivaty in good style last time out and is sure to improve but this looks much tougher and for that reason he is passed over on this occasion. Flight Command is another that could go well he was touched off at Kelso behind Corbie Lynne over a longer trip but he is not sure to be suited by the drop in distance. Of the remainder Kadoun was a fair third behind Self Defense last time but although he travels well in his races he finds little off the bridle and for the winner we return to Ross River.
