In depth
Verdict
A large field goes to post for this competitive handicap and many can be given chances on their best form but the main protagonists look to be Holland Park, Welcome To Unos, Bertiebanoo and Touch Closer and the tentative vote goes to Welcome To Unos. The selection has shown a new lease of life since being switched to the pipe yard and won well last time when defeating Capriolo that form has since been franked and although he is rising in the weights he will be hard to beat under conditions that suit. Holland Park rates the main danger he was a fair third behind Control Man last time and will not be far away despite top weight but the Pipe yard should know where they stand with this rival as he trains Control Man as well as the selection. Bertiebanoo is another that could go well he was a fair second behind Native Ivy last time but all his best form has come on very soft ground and for that reason he is opposed. Jaloux d¿Estruval showed improved form when switched back to hurdles to defeat Brave Caradoc last time but this race looks much more competitive and he will find it harder under his penalty. Of the remainder Touch Closer won well last time and would be a danger to all on his best form but he has yet to win over a trip this far before and for that reason is passed over on this occasion. Of the remainder Atlantic Crossing has the ability to win a race of this nature but seems to have regressed so for the winner we return to Welcome To Unos
