Verdict
Course and distance winner Temple Place has disappointed in two starts since winning that race in March and may now be best watched in a race where the vote goes to Elegant Clutter, who is preferred to Sunday City. The selection comes into this in good form having won his last two starts and a 6lb rise for his latest success looks perfectly fair. Red Moor showed improved form at Taunton last time but would probably want a faster surface, while Desert Spa did not beat much at Hereford last time and would also want faster ground. Mister Mustard looked held when falling here last time and of more interest may be John Quinn's Archie Babe, who comes here fit from the flat and will not mind the underfoot conditions. Peter Bowen's horses are in better form now than for some time so Sunday City may be better than recent form suggests but preference is for Elegant Clutter, who is taken to win again.
