Verdict
Claire Dyson's Tanners Court may struggle to defy the 7lb penalty incurred for his narrow win at Southwell last time and it may be worth taking a chance with WIZARDS DUST, who is better than he showed on his reappearance and he gets the vote ahead of Leney Dow Jones. Adrian Murray's gelding has only had two starts since winning at Kilbeggan in May 2008 but he ran well enough back under rules after an outing in a point-to-point when fourth at Gowran Park last month and he has to be respected on his British debut. Venetia Williams has her string in good heart so Alexanderthegreat has to be considered but he is hard to fancy on recent form and of more interest may be John Mackie's Yeoman Spirit, who has been running consistently well of late but he remains a maiden over fences. The verdict then goes the way of Don McCain's Wizards Dust, who was pulled up on his recent return following a break at Haydock last month but he is better than he showed that day and he has solid claims off just a 1lb higher mark than when successful at Ludlow in November.
