In depth

Verdict

Gwennie May Boy provided an 80/1 winner at the track last month and with the bookies likely to be tighter with their chalk, it could be worth siding with BASFORD at the likely odds of reward. Jennie Candlish’s gelding was disappointing a couple of weeks ago but his earlier form in bumpers suggests he is worth another chance. Grain D'oudairies ran an encouraging debut at Sedgefield and any money for him would be significant while Hereford third Duke Of Moravia arrives into this assignment still open to plenty of improvement.
