Verdict
A competitive file;d goes to post for this handicap chase and many would have chances on their best form but the main protagonists look to be Banker Count, Monte Cristo and Tambo and we will take a chance on Banker Count. The selection is thrown in on his best form of a couple of seasons ago and ran as if returning to form when second behind Day Du Roy. He has conditions to suit here and he will be hard to beat. Monte Cristo rates the main danger but he was behind the selection last time and is no better off at the weights. Tambo has won his last two races in good style notably when defeating Extra Chace last time but he is rising in the weights and this looks tougher so he is passed over on this occasion. Motcomb Jam was a fair second behind Penthouse Minstrel last time and that form has since been franked but he lacks some of the scope of his rivals and is passed over on this occasion. Of the remainder Newick Park remains at the right end of the weights goes on any ground and could run well at a price but for the winner we return to Banker Count.
